Cabo bachelorette party itinerary + recommendations!

Sharing exactly what we did for my sister’s bachelorette party in Cabo last weekend! Overall, I think the itinerary was pretty smooth — the girls all said it was a good balance of down time + party time. Making notes below if there was anything I would have changed!

Also linking to all the vendors we used for decor, gifts, etc!

Cabo Bachelorette decor:

I worked with Karla at The Cabo Bachelorette for our decor AND she helped us with our brunch reservation + nightclub table reservation. She is THE sweetest and was so helpful with all my questions — can’t recommend her highly enough!

They were able to arrive at our Airbnb right at our check-in time and got the backdrop, bride’s bedroom decor, and balloons set up really quickly! The bride absolutely loved it and we used it all weekend to take photos.

what I did for gifts + favors

My absolute favorite thing I did for gifts for the girls (and as a surprise for the bride) was that I worked with Ohh So Social Shop to make t-shirts that were all different — each girl submitted their favorite photo of Kelsey (mostly silly photos, like I did baby photos of us together and some of the other girls sent in embarassing pictures of her in college, etc) and OSS was incredible about getting them all printed really quickly. We all wore them when Kelsey walked in and she loved it so much because each tee was an individual memory. I also felt like this was a little more unique than matching shirts, although I do love a matching shirt — and Kelsey can totally take a good joke so it was perfect for her.

The girls submitted about 80 photos all together for their shirts so I also printed out the ones I didn’t use for tees and had those displayed around the house!

other gifts + favors for the girlies

I also had:

  • tossable plastic wineglasses from Tossware — we had a pool so I was avoiding glass, and I got matching drink tags from Sip Social (photo below) so the girls could re-use their cups all weekend

  • cups, plates, + a ring straw from Stag + Hen

  • Turkish towels for the girls to use throughout the weekend

  • tattoos of Kelsey + her fiance from Tat Me Mama on Etsy — I did a mix of silly and cute photos (photo below)

  • cute tattoos from XO, Fetti

  • hair clips + eye masks for each girl

  • Advil, makeup wipes, Gatorade packets, and sunscreen in a basket on the table for anyone to use throughout the weekend

  • my speaker + Instax with film

  • pool floaties (I did six matching white hearts because Kelsey wanted mostly white/neutrals)

We also used Prickly Pear Cabo for grocery delivery + they were SO easy and perfect!

our cabo bachelorette itinerary

Thursday afternoon:

  • all of the girls arrived + I used Cabo Transfers for every airport transfer; super easy to book online + group the girls together. One tip here is to save money by putting girls together in groups; we had girls arriving all day so I just had a few girls that had to wait at the airport because the shuttles were charged by groups of six

  • We had a hotel on Wednesday night that allowed us to hang by the pool all day Thursday so anyone who arrived before our check-in time at the Airbnb just met us at that pool

3 pm: I went to the Airbnb with two other girls to meet Karla from the Cabo Bachelorette and set up all the gifties

4 pm: the bride arrived; all the girls came into my room and changed into their shirts while the bride closed her eyes and we all surprised her with the shirts + the decor

— we hung out by the pool for a little bit and had drinks

7 pm: we went to the boys’ house for a taco dinner catered by Eat Cabo Catering which was really reasonably priced and SO delicious; they also included margaritas with our dinner.

Early night tonight because we had a big day the next day!

Friday:

9:30 am: we had Cabo Transfers pick us up and take us to the boat; we used Seashine Charters for our boat day and it truly could not have been more perfect. Our boat was Mi Vieja and it included an open bar which made it so easy to not have to bring alcohol, plus they included a ton of snacks like quesadillas, sliders, and guac — which was great for drinking on a boat for four hours! I truly could not recommend this experience enough; all the girls said this was their favorite part of the weekend.

2:30 pm: Cabo Transfers picked us up and took us back to the house

— hung out at the house for quite a while; some girls napped and other girls were by the pool

7 pm: dinner at Los Tres Gallos; this was really delicious and casual and nice but nothing to write home about

10:30 pm: arrived at La Vaquita for table service; we met the boys here and it was a pretty good price considering we had 26 — Karla at Cabo Bachelorette set this up for us and everyone said they loved it! The staff was really incredible and the vibes were so fun; the night we were there they were playing a lot of early 2000s music which I personally enjoyed and it was really great. We left around 2 so all in all a good night!

Saturday:

— we chilled in the morning after a big night

12:30 pm: taxi picked us up for brunch (I could have arranged this in advance with Cabo Transfers but I just didn’t so I texted our house manager and he got us a taxi)

1 pm: brunch at Bagatelle — this was SUCH a vibe but the one thing I would have changed is that I would have made our reservation later; at 1 pm we thought we’d be getting there in the thick of things but we were actually the first people there. We also had a few hungover girls; I thought that 1 pm would be late enough but now looking back since we were up until 4, I would’ve done the reservation even later. That said, everything here was SO delicious.

— one note about Bagatelle: we paid in advance and I definitely thought that included drinks (my bad), but it didn’t, and that’s totally fine but they were really pushing bottle service on us — the bride wanted to do bottle service and she got it for the group as a gift to say thanks for coming, but if you’re not a big drinking group, something to keep in mind.

After brunch, we walked to Mango Deck and had a few drinks, then got a taxi home

For dinner this night we got pizza from Wicked Pizza and just chilled because a lot of girls had earlier shuttles/flights. Wicked Pizza was recommended to us by our house concierge and was really good. plus everyone was happy to only spend $50 total on dinner for the last night.

sunday

Cabo Transfers did our shuttles + it was super smooth! When I booked with them I just divided the group into two, told them when the earliest flight in that group was leaving, and they gave me a pick-up time. Easy!

where we stayed + taxi info

We were in the neighborhood of Pedregal in Cabo San Lucas; it was about 45 minutes from the airport. The neighborhood itself would not be walkable to downtown Cabo San Lucas (in my opinion) because the streets are so curvy that even something that looks like a short walk would end up being really far.

That said, taxis charged me $5 per person almost everywhere and then I tipped so I just charged the girls $6/person total. In Mexico I’ve found that if you just tell the driver that you’re willing to pay x amount per person, they’ll usually go with it as long as you’re within a certain area — we had Spanish speakers with us (including me) so this was a little more manageable but just don’t let yourself get scammed into paying like $20/person (unless you’re going like 45 minutes in which case this would make sense).

Taxis were the only thing I had to venmo request the girls for after the trip because almost everything was paid in advance — find out how I made this work here.

We stayed at Sunset Villa, hosted by Cabo Villas - the view was gorgeous and we had a really great experience with our concierge (I was able to text him via Whatsapp with literally any questions and he was also the one who called us taxis a few times). Working with them before the trip was a little bit frustrating because they offered us grocery delivery but when I got the quote it was almost double Prickly Pear; they also told me that I had to go in person to the neighborhood office to request a vendor pass for our grocery delivery, decor delivery, and private chef on Thursday and wanted me to go at least 24 hours in advance — which was impossible because I wasn’t arriving more than 24 hours in advance. I did end up going to the office on Thursday morning and when I got there, the guy working told me I could’ve just emailed him (lol). Besides that though the house was really pretty and they also included a mid-stay cleaning which was nice!

final thoughts

Overall, Cabo was really fun and I would recommend it for a bachelorette trip. My biggest pain points were that I needed cash for EVERYTHING; luckily I had gone to the ATM but I definitely recommend getting cash from the United States if possible because ATM fees in Mexico can be crazy. I did not use a single peso when I was there so don’t worry about converting your cash.

Last random recommendation: I did get a massage at The Sandbar on the first day and it was truly the best massage of my life. $46 for 90 minutes!!! Bring cash to tip.

I’m well aware that bach trips are different than other trips so I’m positive that there are some great spots in Cabo that we missed BUT this worked well for our group of 14. Message with questions!!
